Terms of Service

By creating an account or using FaydaSign you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using FaydaSign on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not access or use the platform.

FaydaSign is a digital signature platform that enables users to upload, prepare, send, and electronically sign legally binding documents. Every signature is linked to a verified Fayda national identity, creating a trusted, tamper-evident chain of custody for signed documents. FaydaSign also provides a public verification portal, audit trails, PAdES cryptographic sealing, and subscription billing.

You are responsible for:

• Account security — maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately at security@faydasign.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Accurate information — providing truthful and current information during registration and identity verification. Providing false information may result in account suspension and voids the legal standing of any signatures created.
• Authorised signing — only signing documents for which you have legal authority. You must not sign on behalf of another person without explicit written authorisation.

By applying your signature on FaydaSign you acknowledge that:

• Your electronic signature carries the same legal weight as a handwritten signature under applicable Ethiopian law.
• You have read and understood the document to which you are applying your signature.
• Your signature is linked to your verified Fayda identity and cannot be repudiated on the grounds of identity uncertainty.
• Once a document is completed and sealed, its contents cannot be altered without invalidating the cryptographic signature.

You agree not to use FaydaSign to:

• Upload, send, or sign fraudulent, forged, or illegal documents.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Attempt to circumvent identity verification, tamper with audit trails, or reverse-engineer signed documents.
• Abuse the platform through automated requests, scraping, or denial-of-service attacks.
• Violate any applicable Ethiopian or international law.

Violation of these provisions may result in immediate account suspension and referral to the relevant authorities.

Plans — FaydaSign offers Free, Professional, and Enterprise subscription plans. Plan limits (documents per month, signatories per document) are enforced at the time of sending. Upgrading takes effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

Billing — subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) via Chapa. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.

Cancellation — you may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time unless required by law.

Payment failures — if a payment fails, your account will revert to the Free plan until a successful payment is recorded.

We aim to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from temporary unavailability of the service.

FaydaSign and all associated software, design, trademarks, and content are the intellectual property of FaydaSign and its licensors. You retain full ownership of the documents you upload. By uploading documents you grant FaydaSign a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, store, and display them solely for the purpose of providing the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FaydaSign is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or legal disputes arising from signed documents. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the subscription fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, fraud, or conduct that endangers the security or integrity of the platform. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Termination does not affect the legal standing of documents already signed through the platform.
